A while back when flushable wipes came out i was thinking thats a good thing. All the companies from Cottonelle, Scott, Kirkland, Home etc. They all advertise it. Where is the clause at the end, like the medication commercials. Saying “side effects ” are clogged drain pipes and the sewage plants.
Hygiene has always been people’s concern
especially in the new era of civilization. People are now advancing from
the basics of proper handwashing to prevent the spread of waterborne
diseases. Anal hygiene has become the new topic of health. Wiping
the anal orifice with toilet paper removes the gross fecal material,
but much dirt is left in situ. Most parents wipe their infants with baby
wipes, and the trend is being picked up by adults all over the world.
However, while wet wipes are useful in anal hygiene, environmental
concerns have raised the need for its alternative. The major
disadvantages of wet wipes include:
The devastating effect resulting from wet wipes has caused a global
outcry against the sanitary practice. Major countries involved in the
campaign against wet wipes like the US, UK, and Australia have taken
bold strides even to ban flushable wet wipes in their markets. The
claims that wet wipes are decomposable in water turned out to be false,
and the only safe way to dispose of them would be through the regular
garbage bin. Unless we want to throw wet wipes laden with feces in our
bins, the following alternatives are present and recommended:

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than one-quarter of American adults have untreated cavities. We could be doing better. Twice daily brushing and flossing is only the beginning. We’ve rounded up some of the best oral health blogs on the web to keep everyone smiling for years to come! From advice on keeping your teeth clean and cavity-free, to information on the connection between dental and heart health, you’ll find a little bit of everything on these sites.
With the year flying by and a change in season underway, oral health may be the last thing on your mind. If you’ve put your hygiene on auto-pilot, however, you may want to think twice! Everyday habits could actually be harming your gums and teeth.
To keep your smile at its best, steer clear of these dental hazards:
Opening packages with your teeth, which can lead to chipped or broken teeth
Chewing on pens, pencils, fingernails or ice, which can cause your teeth to crack
Playing sports without a mouth guard, leaving your teeth exposed to potential injuries
Mouth and/or lip piercings, that can cause tooth damage as well as harbor bacteria
Medicinal cough drops and lozenges that are just as sugar-laden as candy
Avoiding these behaviors can minimize daily wear and tear and prevent costly dental problems and/or damage to prior dental work. Regular dental exams are also critical for early detection of dental issues you may not notice. If it’s been more than six months since your last check-up, schedule one now by calling 310-545-4561.
